African networking projects
   
   What's out there now, what's coming soon? International links, 
   undersea cable and fiber links, fiber networks within countries,
   etc..

	Notes:
		-Ghana: UCSI- dark fiber throughout Ghana?
		-Africa One
		-SAFE/SAT-3
		-East/North African links

Wireless Internet services (one-to-many)

   Researching the various methods of providing one-to-many wireless
   Internet connections that are practical and affordable for home
   users, esp. overseas. MMDS, LMDS, and other neat stuff.

	Notes:
		-ADC's broadband system looks good as a Hybrid replacement.
		-Adaptive Broadband?
		-Harris? Spike?

Long distance wireless technologies

   Researching various long-distance wireless data transmission
   technologies. When you need 2mb (or more) of bandwidth between
   two cities hundreds of miles apart, what's the best way to
   get there from here? How can I have the fewest number of relay
   stations? What are the requirements of each relay station? Can
   they survive a hostile environment?

	Notes:
		-Underwater cables and fiber

Multi-country network backbones

   On continents such as Africa, what is the easiest way to link
   network backbones between countries? 

	Notes:
		-Satellite frame relay broadcasts
		-Microwave frame
		-Fiber (ick- right of way issues)
		-Regulations (licensing, governmental permission)
